City Sounds Live is a travelling music festival presented by the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) in partnership with BIAs and co-curators in various neighbourhoods around Ottawa. The Glebe BIA is excited to add live music to our charming neighbourhood! Catch our local musicians at the outdoor courtyard at Fourth Avenue Baptist Church and take in live music in the heart of the Glebe while you dine, shop or run your daily errands.

City Sounds Live – Ottawa Jazz Festival Edition

City Sounds Live is a travelling music festival presented by the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) in partnership with BIAs and co-curators in various neighbourhoods around Ottawa. The Glebe BIA is excited to add live music to our charming neighbourhood! Catch our local musicians at the outdoor courtyard at Fourth Avenue Baptist Church and take in live music in the heart of the Glebe while you dine, shop or run your daily errands.

The Glebe BIA is also proud to partner with the Ottawa Jazz Festival to bring world-class music to the neighbourhood! Since 1980, JazzFest has been a beloved Ottawa summer tradition spanning jazz, blues, soul and beyond. This year, we’re helping them kick things off early. City Sounds Live on June 13th is your pre-festival warm-up before JazzFest takes over Confederation Park June 18–28.

Christian Flores Trio

Christian Flores is a Chilean/Canadian guitarist and community developer. Inspired by the traditions of Gypsy Jazz and Django Reinhardt, he has studied with renowned musicians including Denis Chang, Fapy Lafertin, and Paulus Schäfer. His trio brings together talented Ottawa musicians to deliver vibrant, elegant performances filled with swing, improvisation, and passion.

Angelo Leo & Friends

Angelo Leo is an Ottawa-based musician and entertainment consultant known for a dynamic sound that blends jazz, soul, and contemporary influences. With collaborations spanning artists and producers across the globe, Angelo has contributed to multiple records that have collectively surpassed 10 million streams and counting. Their expressive playing and versatile style have made them a sought-after collaborator for live performances, studio sessions, and international projects.

Climate Concert Series: Wanting to Start Again

CAFES is excited to present the Climate Concert Series: Wanting to Start Again with a performance at the Glebe-St. James United Church on October 17 from 7-9 pm.

Wanting to Start Again is a violin-piano concert produced by DoSi, a classical duo consisting of violinist Maitreyi Muralidharan and pianist Tong Wang. Inspired by immigrant stories, the climate crisis, and discovering identity, this interactive contemporary music concert features works by Fu-Tong Wong, Nick Bentz, Fazil Say, Joe Hisaishi/ Wesley Chu & Kevin Lau. Let the music transport you to a place of hope and renewal as we come together in community.
