Reconnect with your body through Strength & Stability: A Somatic Approach, a free 1-hour trauma-informed movement class hosted by The Effect Healing Collective in collaboration with Move Like You Studio. Led by Dr. Sadie, this gentle yet empowering class blends somatic movement practices, functional strength training, and mindful body awareness to help you build resilience from the inside out. Whether you’re new to movement or looking for a more compassionate approach to fitness, you’ll discover techniques that support nervous system regulation, mobility, and lasting wellness.

This somatic strength and stability class is designed for anyone seeking a healthier relationship with their body while improving core strength, balance, and overall stability. Through intentional, trauma-informed movement, you’ll learn how to move with greater confidence, reduce tension, and develop a stronger foundation for everyday life. No previous experience is necessary—just bring yourself, comfortable clothing, and a willingness to explore movement at your own pace.

City Sounds Live – Ottawa Chamberfest Edition

City Sounds Live is a travelling music festival presented by the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) in partnership with BIAs and co-curators in various neighbourhoods around Ottawa. The Glebe BIA is excited to add live music to our charming neighbourhood! Catch our local musicians at the outdoor courtyard at Fourth Avenue Baptist Church and take in live music in the heart of the Glebe while you dine, shop or run your daily errands.


The Glebe BIA is proud to partner with Ottawa Chamberfest to bring world-class music to the neighbourhood! Since 1994, Chamberfest has grown into the world’s largest chamber music festival, filling some of Ottawa’s most beautiful churches, galleries and heritage spaces with everything from baroque to bold new works. City Sounds Live is your easygoing lead-in before Chamberfest takes over venues across the city July 23–August 2.


Paco Dvoi Altfolk Trio

Paco Dvoi is an Ottawa-based altfolk singer-songwriter specializing in lyrical songs with existential themes. Together with Julia Ostertag on violin and Bob Muller on standup bass, Paco Dvoi Altfolk Trio stirs emotion and imagination with their poetic blend of voice, strings, and harmony.

Kathryn Patricia Cobbler
12:00 – 12:45 AM

Hailing from Canada’s Capital region, Loop pedal violist and composer, Kathryn Patricia Cobbler has crafted a singular niche in music improvisation and classical performance. She obsesses over creating uniquely arresting soundscapes, whether in solo recitals, composing and performing for art installations, and more. Named a CBC Trailblazer in 2021 and a recipient of one of Ottawa Arts Council’s Emerging Artist awards, she has been featured in Canada’s most notable Concert Series, Chamberfest, Music and Beyond, the National Arts Centre’s Sphere Festival to name a few.

The Glebe BIA is also proud to partner with the Ottawa Jazz Festival to bring world-class music to the neighbourhood! Since 1980, JazzFest has been a beloved Ottawa summer tradition spanning jazz, blues, soul and beyond. This year, we’re helping them kick things off early. City Sounds Live on June 13th is your pre-festival warm-up before JazzFest takes over Confederation Park June 18–28.

Christian Flores Trio

Christian Flores is a Chilean/Canadian guitarist and community developer. Inspired by the traditions of Gypsy Jazz and Django Reinhardt, he has studied with renowned musicians including Denis Chang, Fapy Lafertin, and Paulus Schäfer. His trio brings together talented Ottawa musicians to deliver vibrant, elegant performances filled with swing, improvisation, and passion.

Angelo Leo & Friends

Angelo Leo is an Ottawa-based musician and entertainment consultant known for a dynamic sound that blends jazz, soul, and contemporary influences. With collaborations spanning artists and producers across the globe, Angelo has contributed to multiple records that have collectively surpassed 10 million streams and counting. Their expressive playing and versatile style have made them a sought-after collaborator for live performances, studio sessions, and international projects.
