This beloved event brings families and neighbours together for a joyful morning of kids’ activities, games, snacks, live music, a special appearance from a beloved Marvel character, and a silent auction with local prizes. All proceeds go towards supporting the GCNS, a non-profit, co-operative nursery school.

Coldest Night of the Year Walk 2026
Coldest Night of the Year. Supporting Youth in Our Community
Join us on Saturday, February 28 for the Coldest Night of the Year, a family-friendly winter walk in support of youth experiencing homelessness in Ottawa.
Participants will stroll, walk, or stride together along Bank Street to raise funds and awareness for the Youth Services Bureau (YSB). Every step taken helps provide safe shelter, meals, mental health support, and long-term housing solutions for young people in our city.
Gather your friends, family, or colleagues and be part of a powerful evening of community connection and impact. Together, we can make the coldest night of the year a little warmer for youth who need it most.

An enthusiastic group of volunteer neighbours and community members are delighted to present the Glebe Halloween Village again this year!
This event is perfect for families looking for a fun and accessible Halloween experience.
Head over to Glebe Avenue (between Lyon Street and Bank Street) on Saturday, October18th, 2025 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a memorable experience filled with treats, costumes, and community spirit. (Rain Date Sunday, October 19th, 2025)
The block will be transformed into a free, accessible daytime trick-or-treating experience with so many things to see and do:
- treat stations at the ends of driveways (with food and non-food treats)
- visitors from The League of Superheroes
- a make-and-take craft station
- a Flow Recreation Therapy regulation station
- so many kind and welcoming neighbours of all ages!
We look forward to welcoming children (and those young at heart) with mobility, sensory, or intellectual disabilities who may not typically get to participate in trick or treating!
We will be collecting donations at the event for anyone who is interested. You can donate to the Glebe Halloween Village and our future events because, from the interest in this event, we know we need to do more in the future! You can also donate to the Ottawa Food Bank because people in our community are facing hunger.
