Waabandiwag – ‘Heart Berry’: An Indigenous Art Exhibition

June 15, 2026 by CaitlinMcKinlay

Curated by Helena Granger and Jayde Micah designs , Waabandiwag – ‘Heart Berry’ aims to uplift new and emerging Indigenous artists and provide an opportunity to share their work in a culturally sensitive space.
‘Heart Berry’ is a celebration of Indigenous and Indigiqueer/Two Spirit identities in honour of Indigenous history month and Pride Month. Many of the art works speak to lived experience of connection, reconnection, love, belonging, cultural pride and the Two Spirit experience.
Join us on June 26th to celebrate the opening of our show, with a performance, free food & drinks (non alcoholic), conversation with many of the artists and a night of celebrating Indigenous culture!
