Capital Ukrainian Festival Returns August 28–30, 2026

The Capital Ukrainian Festival returns to Ottawa for three days of Ukrainian arts, culture and community programming as part of Ukraine Week in Ottawa.

Friday, August 28 | 6–8 p.m. | Lansdowne Park Plaza | FREE
Learn Ukrainian dance with the Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Society.

Saturday, August 29 | 952 Green Valley Crescent | $35 per workshop
Hands-on Ukrainian cultural workshops:
• 12–2 p.m. Petrykivka Painting
• 3–5 p.m. Ukrainian Pysanky – Beginner

Sunday, August 30 | 9 a.m.–7 p.m. | Horticulture Building, Lansdowne Park | FREE
Enjoy the Yarmarok (Ukrainian Marketplace) with Ukrainian food, artisans and vendors, live entertainment, children’s activities and more.

Also happening Sunday: A Piece of Gerdan Dipped in ShockolaD | 7 p.m. | 1000 Byron Avenue | $45
