The Ottawa Legacy Expo: Too often we hear, “I wish I had known about this sooner.” The Legacy Expo exists to make sure you do.
The Legacy Expo is a three-day community event designed to connect, educate, and empower. The weekend includes a networking event and an intimate film screening of Saying Goodbye: Preparing for Death, but at the heart of it is the Legacy Expo on Sunday, May 3rd—a free public event from 12–3 PM at the Glebe Community Center.
With 30+ vendors and four engaging presentations, attendees can explore topics such as downsizing and navigating life’s next chapter, caregiver support and resources (both online and in-person), hospice care for humans and pets, grief support for families and those in the workplace, and the role of artistic creativity in healing. Curious about sound baths or how to talk to children about grief? These are just two of the workshops being offered throughout the day—there truly is something for everyone at this free event.
The Legacy Expo highlights the depth and diversity of services available in the Ottawa region, especially for those who are growing older, stepping into caregiving roles, planning ahead, or simply wanting to be informed before it’s too late. It’s about being proactive, not reactive.
