On Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, 2025, Glebe-based chamber choir Seventeen Voyces with guest choirs Caelis Academy Ensemble and the Ewashko Singers will mark the centennial of the 1925 legendary silent film Ben-Hur with live performances at St Matthew’s Anglican Church. The silent film will be projected on a large screen and accompanied by the three choirs, directed by local filmmaker and composer Kevin Reeves, joining forces with percussionists, three solo singers, and organ to perform music from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana and other works that will bring this classic silent film to life.
