Join us for a fall celebration in the heart of the Glebe!
On Saturday, October 3 from 9 am–5 pm, the Glebe Harvest Block Party is taking over at Third Avenue and Bank Street for a full day of local businesses, live entertainment, activities and autumn fun.
With a partial road closure on both sides of Bank Street, Third Avenue will become a lively gathering space where neighbours and visitors can come together, explore the area and experience the community spirit that makes the Glebe special.
Road Closures
Third Avenue will become Local Access Only from 7am – 6pm. Residents who use Third avenue to access their homes and driveways/parking spots will be able to access their spots via Lyon and O’Connor. No through traffic will be possible.
Third Avenue will be closed at Bank Street (no right or left turns)
Third Avenue will be closed to visitor parking.
Paid parking will be available in the Lansdowne Park underground garage and the City of Ottawa parking garage. The City of Ottawa parking garage access will be closed on Third Avenue and will only be accessible from Second Avenue from 7am – 6pm.
Third Avenue will re-open in the evening.
Third Avenue residents will receive a paper notice to their homes the week before the event reminding them of this closure.
Sidewalk Sale Registration
We have obtained a Sidewalk Sale permit for businesses who want to sell on the sidewalk in front of their store during the Glebe Harvest Block Party. If you would like to participate on October 3 as a Sidewalk Sale business, please review the conditions and then contact us to register to receive the permit. We will deliver it the week before the event. Only businesses within the Glebe BIA can register.
