Moving Surfaces
Moving Surfaces is a public art installation overlooking the great lawn in Lansdowne Park. Designed by Vancouver-based artist Jill Anholdt, the sculpture is composed of organic steel shapes that embody the fluid movement of water in the Rideau Canal. At night, the sculpture is illuminated by light-emitting diodes that create further water-inspired textures and patterns. The light displays are programmable, so there is always something new to see as Moving Surfaces transforms over time.
