Horticulture Building
The Horticulture Building was constructed in 1914 as a venue for the Central Canada Exhibition’s annual horticulture show. For many years it also served as a public curling rink. The building is a stunning example of the Prairie Style pioneered by Francis Lloyd Wright and was designed by local architects Francis Conroy Sullivan and Allan Keefer. Following the Lansdowne redevelopment project in 2012, the building was revitalized and moved to its current location. Today, the Horticulture Building houses a restaurant and public event space.
