At the Glebe BIA, we are committed to providing our members, clients and customers with exceptional service. We only collect your personal information with your knowledge and consent and it will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected.  The Glebe BIA aims to ensure information is as accurate, complete, and up to date as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used.

You may opt out of Glebe BIA communications at any time by contacting us directly or if you have subscribed to any newsletter published by us, you may unsubscribe by following the instructions in the e-mail contained in the newsletter. Your e-mail address is never shared with third parties without your consent.

Using and Disclosing Personal Information

Only individuals who are subject to confidentiality restrictions have access to your personal information which may include your name, address and other contact information. We do not allow access to individuals who are not bound by this restriction. We are committed to protecting your right to privacy and personal information.

We do not collect data about visitors to our website other than anonymous statistical data related to site access and internal navigation. Should you choose to fill out our contact form, follow us on social media, join our newsletter or business directory you may be asked for applicable personal data such as (but not limited to) your name, e-mail address, and phone number. We only collect personal information relevant to the purposes that have been identified and the information is obtained fairly and lawfully. The purpose of collecting such data is to assist the Glebe BIA in contacting individuals with relevant information and for internal market research to help us serve you better.

Members, clients and customers may request correction to their personal information in order to ensure its accuracy and completeness.  A request to correct personal information must be made in writing and provide sufficient detail to identify the personal information and the correction being sought. If the personal information is demonstrated to be inaccurate or incomplete, we will correct the information as required.

Securing Personal Information

We are committed to ensuring the security of personal information in order to protect it from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal or similar risks.
Security measures will be followed to ensure that information is appropriately protected that may include the use of locked filing cabinets, physically secured offices  where information is held, the use of user IDs, passwords, encryption, firewalls, and restricting employee access to personal information as appropriate.

We will use appropriate security measures when destroying information such as shredding documents and permanently deleting electronically stored information. We will continually review and update our security policies and controls as technology changes to ensure ongoing personal information security.
