Tulip Festival's Swing Dance Night
Produced in collaboration with Standing Room Only and the Ottawa Swing Dance Society the 2nd Annual Canadian Tulip Festival Swing Dance kicks off at 7:30 PM with a one-hour beginner swing dance lesson with live music provided by the SRO Snippets Sextet. Vintage big band, Standing Room Only with vocalist Pauline Proulx, take the stage for the evening at 8:30pm.
Tickets are $15 (inclusive) available online or at the door and include admission to the Lansdowne Park Tulip Gallery, encompassing Aberdeen Pavilion and Great Lawn gated areas, for the entire day (10 am- 5 pm) plus free OC Transpo to and from Lansdowne Park upon presentation of your ticket.
This is an all-ages event with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food available for sale inside Aberdeen Pavilion
Swing dancers are encouraged to wear WWII period dress, as a number of participants in the WWII Vintage Military Displays in WWII military garb are likely to attend.
