Ottawa Welcomes the World- Haiti

Festivals

Through their Open House event on May 17, the Embassy of Haiti to Canada wishes to celebrate the friendship that has united Haiti to Canada for so many years. This special event will also offer Canadians and the Ottawa/Gatineau community at large, an extraordinary chance to learn more about Haiti’s unique history and rich cultural heritage, to discover the beauty of our island, and to seize the unique opportunities to invest in the Haiti of tomorrow.

Come learn to dance to the beat of our incomparable and immortal Kompas rhythms, to discover our artists and artisans, to experience a moment of pure delight thanks to our rich flavours, and to relive a part of history that has left its mark.

Ottawa, it’s the time to discover “La Perle des Antilles”. Welcome to all!

Canada’s diversity is an integral part of its history, its heritage, its pride…its DNA. This is why we are inviting embassies and high commissions to mark their country’s national celebration at the Horticulture Building in 2017. This series of world-class cultural events will promote and strengthen ties between nations on the occasion of Canada’s 150 anniversary.

All residents are encouraged to join the festivities and thus, dive into a unique multicultural atmosphere. Indulge yourself in food tasting, musical celebrations, artistic performances and more!
