Ottawa Welcomes the World- Embassy of the Republic of Poland

Community, Festivals

Canada’s diversity is an integral part of its history, its heritage, its pride…its DNA. This is why we are inviting embassies and high commissions to mark their country’s national celebration at the Aberdeen Pavilion and the Horticulture Building in 2017. This series of world-class cultural events will promote and strengthen ties between nations on the occasion of Canada’s 150 anniversary.

All residents are encouraged to join the festivities and thus, dive into a unique multicultural atmosphere. Indulge yourself in food tasting, musical celebrations, artistic performances and more!

The Polish Day in Ottawa will emphasize friendly relations between Poland and Canada throughout history. It will also highlight the contribution of Poles and Polish-Canadians who have helped build Canada since 19th century. You are invited to taste delicious Polish cuisine, dance mazurka or polonaise, listen to jazz concert, take a selfie with background of beautiful Polish landscape, send greetings to Poles looking forward to celebrating their 100th anniversary of Independence in 2018, and admire designs of Polish porcelain and proportions of masterpieces of both traditional and modern Polish architecture. You’re warmly welcome!
