IMOO Fest 2023

For our seventh fall festival IMOO is moving into a new, larger home in Centretown: the Glebe-St. James United Church at 650 Lyon Street. Over two nights in October we will present a large array of Canadian and International artists. For our Friday night program this year IMOO has partnered with our friends at Tour de Bras Records and Québec Musiques Parallèles to present the Ottawa debuts of Amber, Brulez Les Meubles, and DDK along with Toronto’s long-running Canadian Electronic Ensemble. Saturday night brings long-time friends of IMOO Yves Charuest and Nicolas Caloia, the New York-based duo Popebama, John Oswald’s “Mystery Ensemble” (with Lina Allemano, Eve Egoyan, Ben Grossman, and Jesse Stewart), and the Eyevin Nonet, Montreal drummer Ivan Bamford’s 9-piece Thomas Chapin tribute project. The weekend will conclude with our traditional “Pay What You Can” Sunday night show at Spark Beer featuring Kathryn Patricia Cobbler and 1/4 Tonne Overhaul.
