The Great Glebe Garage Sale returns on Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine!
Residents of the Glebe participate in one of North America’s largest garage sales, selling various items from their front lawns and driveways. Businesses along Bank Street join in on the fun and create pop-up booths to sell their goods at a sidewalk sale.
The Glebe is a neighbourhood located in the City of Ottawa, bordered by Bronson Avenue, the Queensway 417, and the Rideau Canal. Map here.
There will be portable washrooms available to the public in the St. Matthew’s church parking lot at 217 First Avenue.

Donate to the Ottawa Food Bank

The Great Glebe Garage Sale has been held in the Glebe since 1986, and since the very beginning, the Glebe Community Association has encouraged participants (residents, vendors, shoppers, businesses) to donate to the Ottawa Food Bank. This year is no different, and the community need is higher than ever. For every $1 donated, the Ottawa Food Bank can provide approximately $5 worth of food to the community.
