Yoga, Fury and Farmers’ Market this weekend in the Glebe
I hope you’ve mastered your downward dog and your Sphinx Pose, because the City of OM Yoga Festival is taking over Lansdowne Park this weekend.
There will be a whopping 15 yoga classes, beginning at 8 a.m. all through the day until 8 p.m.
City of OM is Ottawa’s largest health and wellness festival and attracts over 2,000 yogis and more than 30 apparel and food vendors.
The festival also features spin classes, cooking classes, a Little Om’ies Kid Zone and a Nama State-of-Mind After Class. Tickets start at $39.50. Click here to get your pose on.
If you’re heading to yoga with the family, stop off at Whole Foods Saturday morning for the Kid’s Club. They’ll enjoy a free fresh fruit snack and some crafts. The Kids Club runs every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Click here for more details.
While things will be calm on the Great Lawn for yoga, inside TD Place will be a raucous party, as the Ottawa Fury FC looks to continue their dominance Saturday with a match against Charlotte Independence. The Fury are on a six-game unbeaten streak and have won four of their last six matches. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Click here for tickets.
Start your Sunday off right with an intense workout with GoodLife Fitness. Their free Sunday stadium workouts will have you sweating buckets, as you’ll be running stairs, doing push ups and sit ups, as well as lunges and everything else that makes you feel the burn. The workouts begin at 8 a.m. Click here for details.
Beets! Get your beets! With the Ottawa Farmers’ Market in full swing, new produce and goods are coming into season every week, as beets should be on the offering table at this weekend’s market. You may even be able to snag some lettuce, and some snow and snap peas. The market runs every Sunday in the Aberdeen Court from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click here to see what else is in season.
