Weekend What’s Up: 67’s set to race Wiener Dogs down the ice for Family Day

Love is in the air in the Glebe this weekend, and there’s lots for you and your special someone to take in – from a 67’s double header to skating on the Canal for Winterlude.

Kick your weekend off right Friday night with the new Pints & Quarts Live Music Series featuring singer songwriters Allaire and Stryker. The music nights will host a rotating roster of local musicians with Allaire and Stryker providing a romantic Valentine’s Day soundtrack. Click here for details.

Snowmania at Winterlude continues throughout the weekend with the Glebe’s small zoo of winter wildlife on display along Bank Street. Tour these stunning sculptures at various locations from the north end of Bank Street, all the way to Lansdowne. Saturday night at Collabo Café will be an artistic foray into the mind of Mohamed Abdelrahman during MERAKI. The exhibition will feature several of Abdelrahman’s works and will boast music and coffee. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. Click here for details.

On Saturday, the Ottawa 67’s host the Windsor Spitfires at TD Place. While the Saturday afternoon game will certainly be a blast, Monday’s Family Day game will be the game not to miss. Monday’s game will boast the 7th annual Weiner Dog Race, the Corgi Parade and a post-game meet and greet where fans can meet the entire 67’s squad. On Sunday, the Ottawa Winter Farmers’ returns to the Aberdeen Pavilion where you can score the freshest produce, the funkiest artisan gifts and some seriously nostalgic vintage items. The Market runs every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click here for more information.
