Weekend What’s Up: 67’s Dunder Mifflin Night, Cannabis 101 and DJ Disco Skate Night in the Glebe

I hope you like beets, beats and tasty treats, because it’s a wild weekend in the Glebe that will have you eating, dancing, skating and pulling your best office pranks on your fellow hockey-loving pals.

The weekend gets a fun kickoff Friday night when the Ottawa 67’s take on Guelph in the team’s second-annual Dunder Mifflin night honouring the popular NBC sitcom The Office. The game will feature everything the show did – Kevin’s famous chili, Dwight’s Shrute Farm antics and Michael’s awkward humour. With official Dunder Mifflin jerseys, TV clips and in-game trivia, you’ll fell like you’re selling paper in Scranton. IF you get hungry, try a bowl of Kevin’s famous chili, Stanley’s soft pretzels or Shrute Farm Fries. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. sharp. Click here for tickets.

Also Friday night, those looking to learn more about Cannabis can head to Collabo Café for Cannabis 101 with Angelo Muscari and Maddie Brown. Muscari, a cannabis sommelier and co-founder of Hybrid Pharm, along with registered nurse Brown will host a conversation regarding the ins and outs of the Canadian cannabis landscape. Tickets are $20 and include a beverage. The talk kicks off at 8 p.m. at Collabo Café at 108 Third Avenue. Click here for details.

And you’ll have a Saturday Night Fever at TD Place this weekend. Grab your bell bottoms, rock that glitter jacket, strap up the blades and twirl around the Arena at TD Place for the Disco DJ Skate Night. Boogie all night long to classic 70’s disco tunes from a live DJ while skating around the ice. It’s a fun night of skating and dancing. The skate runs from 7-10 p.m. Click here for tickets. The 67’s are back in action Sunday afternoon with a tilt against Owen Sound. Click here for tickets to that game.

Also on Sunday, caregivers and their loved ones are invited to the weekly Sunday Social at the Glebe Centre from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Musical entertainment will be provided by Mary Gick and Chris White while artist CJ Fleury will host a creative activity for participants. Click here for details.

Have a fantastic weekend. We’ll see you in the Glebe.
