Tim Horton’s Brier continues at TD Place in the Glebe
Team Canada will first put its perfect record on the line this afternoon when they battle the winless Team Prince Edward Island at the 2016 Tim Horton’s Brier at TD Place in the Glebe at 2:30 p.m.
Team Canada’s Pat Simmons has skipped his team to a perfect 3-0 start at the premier Canadian bonspiel, dismantling Quebec, Saskatchewan and The Northwest Territories earlier this weekend.
Canada will really be put to the test this evening when they battle the only other undefeated team in the tournament, Northern Ontario, who snuck past Saskatchewan, B.C. and Quebec en route to a 3-0 perfect start in the tournament.
Canada first plays P.E.I at 2:30 today and then will face off in the second game of a double-header this evening at 7:30 p.m. vs. Northern Ontario.
Team Ontario will try to improve its 2-1 record this afternoon against B.C. while Alberta looks to go 3-1 with a win over the winless Northwest Territories. The other afternoon game Monday features Saskatchewan vs. Newfoundland and Labrador.
Tonight’s draws will see Quebec and Saskatchewan battle it out while New Brunswick and Ontario go head-to head as they look to make a push up the standings. Alberta and Manitoba will both fight to move to 3-1 tonight in a battle for second place in the overall standings.
