Reopening in the Glebe: Patio Season!

June 11, 2020 | by glebeadmin

"Ah, it’s finally patio season. We’ve been waiting for months to slide onto a sunny patio, order a tall glass of something cold and just relax. And this week, when the government permits restaurant patios to open to the public, that long lost dream will come into reality.

A quick stroll through the Glebe will give you plenty of options for some well-deserved, end-of-week chill time. From beers and bites to margaritas and cool cocktails, the Glebe is the place to be for all things patio.

Start your weekend out proper with a visit to your favourite local spot in the Glebe, while continuing to social distance. Our hard-working eateries have been busy preparing their outdoor spaces in a safe and healthy way – with tables six feet apart, mobile and disposable menus and strict and frequent cleaning measures. Let’s raise a glass to them and our retail shops and service providers who, against all odds, have persevered in these unprecedented times.

Cheers to you, small businesses!

Here’s a list of patios that are open, what they’re serving and what they’re saying as we inch towards a new normal. Stay tuned next week when we highlight hair, nail and beauty salons as well as tattoo parlours.
