Reopening in the Glebe: Patio Season!
Ah, it’s finally patio season. We’ve been waiting for months to slide onto a sunny patio, order a tall glass of something cold and just relax. And this week, when the government permits restaurant patios to open to the public, that long lost dream will come into reality.
A quick stroll through the Glebe will give you plenty of options for some well-deserved, end-of-week chill time. From beers and bites to margaritas and cool cocktails, the Glebe is the place to be for all things patio.
Start your weekend out proper with a visit to your favourite local spot in the Glebe, while continuing to social distance. Our hard-working eateries have been busy preparing their outdoor spaces in a safe and healthy way – with tables six feet apart, mobile and disposable menus and strict and frequent cleaning measures. Let’s raise a glass to them and our retail shops and service providers who, against all odds, have persevered in these unprecedented times.
Cheers to you, small businesses!
Here’s a list of patios that are open, what they’re serving and what they’re saying as we inch towards a new normal. Stay tuned next week when we highlight hair, nail and beauty salons as well as tattoo parlours.

Milestones at Lansdowne is the perfect place to get your relax on. The crew at the restaurant has been busy, fulfilling take-out orders all while constructing a brand new patio, set to open this Friday at 11 a.m. “
We’re building a brand new patio as we speak,” says Milestones Lansdowne General Manager Paul Boudreau. “We’ve had great support from our guests, especially once the word got out that we were open. Since the announcement, we’ve had people calling off the hook, wanting to get onto our patio. We’ve been forced to stay home for months now, and there is pent-up demand for dining out, especially as the weather has started to turn. It has been tough for all of us, but it was necessary. As we’ve been able to open with additional safety measures in place, watching it all come back together again has been a really beautiful thing to see. We have a really great team here and can’t wait to serve our guests in an atmosphere where they feel safe and welcome, as always. We’re excited to say, once again, your table is waiting!”
