REDBLACKS, Salsa and Farmers’ Market in the Glebe this weekend
It’s your kind of weekend in the Glebe if you’re into sports, food, dancing or shopping.
It all kicks off Saturday night when the Ottawa REDBLACKS take on the Montreal Alouettes. While the Als are struggling to get out of the basement of the East Division, all eyes will be locked on their star pivot, quarterback Johnny Manziel, recently acquired from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The former Heisman Trophy winner and #1 pick in the NFL draft will look to right the Montreal ship, but not if the REDBLACKS have anything to do with it. Kick off is at 8 p.m. Click here for tickets.
Before heading to the Ottawa Farmers’ Market on Sunday, start your morning off with a solid work out, courtesy of Goodlife Fitness. Every Sunday morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Goodlife offers a free workout class in the stands at TD Place. You’ll be running stairs, doing lunges and everything else that makes you feel the burn. The class is open and free to anyone 12 and older. Click here to get your sweat on.
You may start seeing a few new items at the Ottawa Farmers’ Market, as carrots, cabbage and eggplant are now in season. The market runs every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Aberdeen Court at Lansdowne. Click here to see what else is in season.
Did you have fun learning to Salsa dance last week? Well you can do it again this Sunday night from 6 p.m. to 11. Learn Salsa & Bachata, Kizomba or west coast swing from 6 p.m. to 7, then dance the night away to DJs DJ Chris, DJ Addiction & DJ Jorjymix. Click here for more information.
We’ll see you in the Glebe.
