It appears that Santa got wind of the reopening of Bank Street in the Glebe and has decided to make his first stop in Ottawa at Bank and Second Avenue. He brought along his sleigh and a couple of helpers to wish everyone Merry Christmas and to hand out a few Glebe treats as well. The Glebe Passport makes its grand debut. When you shop in the Glebe, obtain your passport and become eligible to win a $10,000 Shopping Spree in the Glebe. Majic 100 is on hand doing its  live broadcast at the Scotiabank at Fourth and Bank handing out several gift certificates from Glebe merchants who would like to welcome everyone back to the Glebe after a season of construction. Beavertails are on site at Kunstadt Sports at Glebe & Bank as well as at Fifth and Bank. Il Negozia Nicastro is roasting up some chestnuts and serving up some hot apple cider for visitors to the Glebe. The spirit of the season is high in the Glebe. McKeen Metro is starting a major food drive and looking to raise $5,000. Carleton Raven’s mascot Rodney is on hand to help them with some of the cheerleaders and free rickshaw rides to bring your groceries home anywhere in the Glebe.
