Last weekend for Christmas market in the Glebe
Are you one of those last-minute Christmas shoppers who leaves everything until the final week to get your Santa list filled out?
Well, if this is you, you’re in luck, as the Glebe is the perfect place to do all your holiday shopping at our many shops, specialty stores and a weekend Christmas Market at the Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne.
The Christmas Market is being put on by the Ottawa Farmers’ Market and this weekend is your last chance pick up cool, homemade gifts for all your loved ones.
The market has been running every weekend since November 28 and closes this Sunday. The Market runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday and boasts everything from trinkets and stocking stuffers to big-ticket gifts and quality ingredients for every one of your holiday meals.
And hockey fans will be right at home Friday night when the Ottawa 67s take on the Peterborough Pete’s at TD Place Arena at 7 p.m. Click here for tickets.
The 67s will be looking to snap a six-game losing skid, but they’ll have to do it without their captain and leading scorer Travis Konecny. The speedy forward is in Finland preparing for the upcoming IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships, starting Boxing Day.
But the team won’t get much rest this weekend, as the Kingston Frontenacs blow into town for a Saturday afternoon tilt on Dec. 19.
The Frontenacs won’t be an easy opponent, as they sit atop the Eastern Conference standings with a 20-9-2 record. Saturday’s game starts at 1 p.m. Click here for tickets.
