Holiday Fun For All to be Had This Holiday Season in the Glebe
Break out your most festive Holiday sweater and come enjoy the sights and sounds!
You’ve probably noticed the bright trees lit up along Bank street already. With the lights and the fun winter themed window paintings, the Glebe serves as a festive beacon of light to end out the year.
Beginning November 26, at 6pm to be exact, the Ottawa Christmas Market will be lighting the Christmas Tree and with that kicking off their beloved Holiday Market. This year the market will be home to 35+ vendors, along with live entertainment, music, and of course visits from Santa. Eat, drink, and be merry!
The market runs for four weekends beginning the weekend of November 26.
Fridays | 5pm-10pm
Saturdays | 10am-10pm
Sundays | 10am-8pm
On the week leading up to Christmas, the market will also be opened on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10am-8pm.
The Ottawa Christmas Market is located at Casino Lac Leamy Plaza (Aberdeen Square). Don’t forget your mask!
The Glebe Neighbourhood Activities Group (GNAG) will be hosting their annual Glebe Craft & Artisan Fair over the period of two weekends, beginning November 20, and concluding the following Sunday, the 28.

The Glebe Craft & Artisan Fair is located at 175 Third Avenue.

Everyone’s favourite Flea Market, 613Flea, is also getting into the Holiday spirit with 613Christmas, taking place Saturday, November 20.
With 125 vendors and free admission, this market will be bursting with great gifts for holiday giving.

If the holidays mean hockey to you, then you’re all set!
From November 26 to December 1, TD Place, will be hosting the 2021 Capital City Challenge. A four-team tournament featuring Canada’s National Women’s Team and three national men’s under-17 teams, which will take place at the TD Place Arena. The schedule and roster are available online, with sixty-six players, representing 10 Members and 44 Canadian Hockey League teams.

On November 23, at 7pm, the Canada vs. USA women’s hockey game will be taking place at TD Place Arena. Come watch this heated rivalry and enjoy these elite athletes competing in Canada’s Capital city.

And last, but certainly not least, our most exciting holiday initiative of all –Glebe Spree!
This cherished, annual holiday contest began November 15 and runs until December 31. Anyone can play and enter as many ballots as they like. For each $15 purchase at participating merchants, you collect a sticker on your ballot, once your ballot is full (either 10 $15 stickers or 1 $150 sticker), you may enter your ballot in the contest.
There are two draws taking place, the Early Bird draw on December 6 will have one lucky winner receiving $2,500 to be spend in the Glebe. The second, and final, draw will take place January 14 and will have one lucky winner taking home $10,000 to be spend in the Glebe.
