Glebe-Spree Early Bird winner announced!
The Glebe BIA is thrilled to announce the winner of the Glebe-Spree Early Bird Prize, Annette McGlynn.
McGlynn has won a ski package complete with new skis, boots and poles courtesy of Kunstadt Sports in the Glebe.
“I was very surprised. Shocked, actually,” says McGlynn, a longtime Glebe resident. “It made my day, perked it up.”
Kunstadt Sports owner Eric Kunstadt, Metro Mckeen owner Rebecca McKeen, Scotiabank Community Manager Mais El-Magraby and Glebe BIA Executive Director Andrew Peck awarded the prize at Kunstadt Sports in the Glebe on Friday afternoon.
“It’s great to be able to present the early bird prize as a ski package, as that is what is finally going to trigger the snow,” laughed Kunstadt.
“We really need the weather to turn for us. We’re crossing our fingers for the white stuff.”
Now in its fifth year, Glebe-Spree is a popular contest made possible by our main sponsors Metro McKeen, Kunstadt Sports and Scotiabank, as well as the 130-plus merchants taking part. The contest will give one lucky shopper a $10,000 shopping spree in the Glebe.
This year has seen an even greater level of participation from both shoppers and merchants and it’s exciting to see the Glebe alive for the holidays.
Glebe-Spree continues through December with the $10,000 grand prize being drawn on January 6, 2016.
To be entered to win the grand prize, please visit the website at www.glebespree.ca for complete contest rules and regulations and to download your Glebe-Spree Passport.
