Glebe BIA Names New Executive Director
The Glebe Business improvement Area is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Peck to the position of Executive Director, effective December 9, 2013.
Andrew Peck will begin his responsibilities with the BIA following more than 25 years of experience in marketing and entrepreneurship. He leaves his current position as the Director of the Y Enterprise Centre where he applied his talents to entrepreneurship training programs that have assisted and inspired hundreds of new businesses get off the ground. Peck has successfully run a marketing outfit of his own for over a decade and has served an impressive list of clients of local, national and international scope. He has also owned and operated retail businesses in Ottawa, Toronto and Wakefield, Quebec and has a strong background in tourism and destination marketing.
The Glebe BIA Board looks forward to profiting from Andrew Peck’s business acumen and well developed marketing and communications skills as it ramps up its highly successful $10,000 Glebe-Spree campaign and completes an exciting new rebranding exercise. The timing is also ideal in preparation for next year’s Winterlude events and Tulip Festival programming.

By working with BIA members, the City of Ottawa, local residents, community organizations, we aim to improve the area through innovative physical renewal programs, festivals, promotions and other initiatives and activities. The Glebe BIA is overseen by an elected, volunteer 10-member board of management and one full-time executive director and represents more than 300 area businesses.
