The FarmTeam Cookhouse and Bar

Every weekend, the FarmTeam Cookhouse and Bar transforms into one of Bank Street’s premiere live music venues.

And this coming weekend is chalked full of great live music – everything from singer-songwriter shows to live DJs bumping lounge and house music ‘til the wee hours of the morning.

Friday nights always feature a live DJ and this week it’s DJ Little Fever bringing his weekly mix of top-40s, house and hip hop to the bar.

Come grab an after work pop and build up enough courage to start up the dancefloor early. Music always starts at nine and the pub offers great bites like chicken wings, nachos and burgers. It’s the perfect night out with friends, family or that special someone. Come cut up a rug in the Glebe every Friday night.

Saturdays is when the bands take over the bar. TJ Morrison brings his stunning vocals to the bar this week. When this guy opens his mouth, he can bring an entire room to its knees. Morrison simple guitar work and masterful lyrics will have everyone in the bar whispering if they need to chat. Music starts at 9 p.m. and it’s always free at the Cookhouse.

But FarmTeam isn’t the only place to hear live music in the Glebe. Irene’s Pub always has an eclectic lineup ready to serenade patrons at the bar. Whether is raucous party music, or sit-down strumming, you’re always guaranteed a great night of local tunes at Irene’s.

It’s blues night at the pub Friday when The Jesse Green Band rolls into Irene’s. Think traditional, dirty blues full of harmonica and scaling guitars all night long. Show starts at 9 p.m.

And there is usually live music at the pubs at Lansdowne. DJs spin throughout the weekends at Local, Joey, Jack Astor’s and Milestones. Whether you are looking for a quiet night with friends or want to go dancing, the Glebe is the place to be all weekend long. Get on your dancing shoes.
